Give Those Curls Some Definition - LOMA RETAIL

Do you have one of those really curly clients? You know the one that comes in and you try your best to find the best way to tame the frizz? Give your curly girls something to look forward to when leaving your chair using Loma Fiber Putty.

The Prep:

First, you can prep the hair with Loma Leave-in Conditioner by spraying directly to the hair in small sections. Then, comb through each section. You can use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers depending on the clients’ curl pattern. Make sure to evenly distribute the product throughout each section. Using Loma Leave-in Conditioner will give the hair some hydration and grip. Loma created their Leave-in Conditioner with a bit of sea salt in it. The sea salt will give the hair some texture, without removing moisture, making the hair less slick and easier to style.

The Application:

Take small ⅛ inch sections with a small amount of Loma Fiber Putty. Twist each section, according to your client's curl pattern to give natural curls, amazing definition and smoothness.

It is recommended to do this on 70% dry hair to allow the Fiber Putty to keep some of its hold in the hair. You don’t want the curls to have too much product per section so be sure to start with less and you can always add more as you go.

There are a few options to drying your clients with naturally curly hair. They can dry naturally without any heat or they can gently defuse with a blow dryer, being sure to use a defusing attachment to ensure less frizz. They can also be placed under a hooded dryer until hair is completely or mostly dry. We recommend when using a blow dryer or hooded dryer to use high heat, and a low blow setting to allow the hair to dry quickly without being blown around roughing up the hair and creating unwanted frizz.
